This time last year, the country was in lockdown and
Sophie Gerberspent her 99th birthday isolated as she battled COVID. The New York City resident could only wave from her window to her friends and loved ones who stood on the street below with birthday signs. But she’s a survivor and she beat the virus and now she’s looking forward to celebrating her 100th.
So what does the birthday gal want to mark her century milestone? Something she hasn’t had in over a year - a hug from her son,
Joe. She’s now fully vaccinated and eager for their reunion, which he surprised her with.

James O’Keefe, the right-wing founder of Project Veritas, filed a defamation lawsuit against Twitter Monday afternoon, claiming the social media giant falsely accused him of operating fake accounts when it permanently banned him from the platform last week.

O’Keefe’s lawsuit comes just four days after Twitter suspended O’Keefe’s account and claimed he violated its platform manipulation rules, which bar users from setting up false accounts or using multiple accounts to “artificially amplify or disrupt conversations.”
In a legal complaint Project Veritas says was filed Monday, O’Keefe said he didn’t operate fake accounts, insisting Twitter’s statements on his ban are “extremely damaging to his reputation” and undermine his investigative work.

Meanwhile, India records over 3.60 lakh fresh Covid-19 cases in a day, the highest single day rise, according government data updated on Wednesday
The government will this evening begin registration for Covid-19 vaccination for those above 18 years of age from May 1 as part of the more liberalised phase-3 vaccination programme. The registration will commence at 4:00 PM on Wednesday on CoWIN (www.cowin.gov.in), the digital platform that is tracking each and every vaccination carried out in the country.
This registration move comes amidst an unrelenting spike in Covid -9 cases and when the government’s vaccination drive for those above 45 is running at full steam. So far, the government has administered 1,47,827,367 anti-covid jabs, with 25,56,182 vaccine doses given in a single day till 8:00AM on Wednesday, according to the Health Ministry data .

Our sexual attractions, orientations and preferences are easily distorted and limited by prejudice. If you reflect on what might be at the root of your preference for men who are straight (or for men who ll tell you they are), NADS, you might be able to open yourself up to more partners. But a person can reflect day and night for decades and still feel the same way.
